Calgary's weather truly is never boring. Last Sunday, it was 22C (72F) and most were in spring attire. This week we were at -5C (23F) and still had blowing snow from the storm system that wouldn't go away from Friday. Needless to say, you must be prepared for anything living here, including comments from your little Sunday school kids that make you smile.
Last week, one of my little girls, 2 1/2 I believe, was wearing sandals as I was, and so commented on them to make some conversation. She was quick to correct me, "No, you're wearing flip flops. I'm wearing sandals." Taken aback slightly, though it was true, I had to agree with her. It's humbling to be corrected by one so young. The week or two before also had something to smile about. One of my little boys rushed into the room and shouted, "I'm a daddy!" His Dad, who was dropping him off, was quick to correct him, "No, I am the daddy. You're a big brother now!" "Oh, right." I'm pretty sure I laughed out loud at that one.
It feels sooooo good to have the last of my projects done for school and just two exams left to go, one of which should be quite easy. The end truly is in sight! I hope the snow is mostly gone for next week while I am off. I would love to get into my garden some before I am working full time. My friend Marla and I went to the Garden Show at the Stampede Grounds last Friday and saw some neat ideas and ornaments. I'm sure more would have been bought if it wasn't snowing so hard that evening, but it was still nice to go see their displays.
Well, I do have a little studying I should do, and a few errands to run. Hope your day is a good one too, and thanks for checking into my blog!
